Every Content created should be optimised for the long-tail keywords researched. Short-tail keywords are infused in them.
How to optimise your content.
- Use keywords in your content, at least once within the first 100 words.
- Include keywords in article titles and headers to help inform Google about your page.
- Your meta titles and descriptions are important: Although including keywords in your meta descriptions won’t affect your ranking, it increases CTR drastically.
- All images you use in your content should have alt text. This helps Google to understand images since it can’t read images as the human eyes can. Naming your image with a keyword that's relevant to the image helps you rank on Google image search. A bonus!
- Internal and external linking is very important. Ensure your articles are linked to one another. And ensure you also link to relevant external websites too. Anchor texts should be related to what they are being linked to than just generic words.
